Jill Lewin

Highland Park, Illinois

I am very fortunate as I was born an identical twin. My twin sister Penny and I like to tell people we are womb mates. We are often mistaken for one another. After years of living in Columbus, Ohio, I moved to Highland Park, IL to be with my parents. I lost my beloved mother July 27th of 2010. I was blessed to take care of her during the last months of her life. Now, it's just Dad and me. He has undergone two major surgeries since March 2011. I honestly believe our life could be the next big reality show. I don't believe they've done one with a grown daughter living with her elderly father. It has all the elements you like in these shows. Humor, poignancy, verbal eruptions, and cooking. You see, my dad doesn't cook. He can fry a couple of eggs and make a sanwich but that's about it. He and my beloved mother were able to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary June 18th, 2010. Check out their wedding picture by going to ChicagoTribune.com/celebrations and type Mitchell and Sally Lewin. You'll be glad you did. I am in the process of writing an article for the Highland Park Patch about my crazy life. Go to Highland Park Patch.com to visit this online newspaper. I met with the editor, Jacob Nelson. He is wonderful. My college degree is English-Communications. So, we'll see what happens. Planning the next chapter of my life. Will keep you informed! Feel free to e-mail me.
