Cedar Falls, IA

I am currently a senior at the University of Northern Iowa studying Public Relations and Marketing. I am originally from Winona, Minnesota where I was born and raised. Many people ask me why I decided to go to a college where I did not know anyone else. I tell them that even though I hold my childhood friends dear to my heart, I knew that I needed to branch out. I have met so many amazing people at UNI and wouldn’t change a minute of it.

During my freshman and sophomore years at UNI, I was lucky enough to nanny for an amazing family in Cedar Falls. Even though this family became like my second family, I knew I needed some experience for a job after college. My Junior and Senior year I have been working for John Deere at the Product Engineering Center, in Cedar Falls. I currently create and design digital signage throughout the facility. This facility employs approximately 2,000 people. With the digital signage I also plan over eight large employee engagement activities. Working in a large corporation has taught me problem solving techniques. I believe this skill will be one of the most affective tools for my future career.
