Jillian Altenburger

Jillian Altenburger is a recent graduate of Princeton University currently living in New Jersey. While attending Princeton she was a member of the varsity swim team and earned her degree in history, with a focus on European history.

Besides graduating from Princeton, Jillian has had the privilege to travel the world and volunteer in some of the most developing countries. She recently completed a trip with International Volunteer HQ where she was placed in Kenya to assist with an orphanage called Madison House. While volunteering taught english to the local children, helped them with their daily chores, cooked, cleaned, and also played sports with them in the afternoons. On the weekends she, along with the other volunteers, took some excursion trips. They traveled to some of the local slums, such as Kibera (one of the largest slums in the world) and delivered food and water to its occupants.
