Jillian Foley

I’m a writer and historian of technology, studying things like cryptography, computers, and mathematics, and the weird shit humans do with it all.

I have a PhD from the University of Chicago’s Conceptual and Historical Studies of Science program; I also have master’s degrees in history and computer science. Before grad school, I worked in technology as a consultant and software engineer.

I also bake a lot and read and write speculative fiction.
