I am the type of person who likes gaining new experiences. Because of this, I have had many jobs. Most of the jobs I have held have dealt with costumers and needed a high level of service and communication skills. This is a skill that I have developed through many hours of being a waitress, bartender, hotel front desk agent, and working in sales.

I have never been someone that likes conflict.Although some may see this as a weakness I see it as a strength and a skill. I am motivated by conflict to identify adversity and come up with problem solutions as quickly as possible.For me it’s about being able to positively contribute to a situation and leave a potentially memorable mark on the people involved.

I am a very compassionate person and I enjoy being helpful to others. I worked in a hospital for severely disabled children and have spent time volunteering reading to under privileged children. I see my compassion as more than a skill but a necessary component of working with children. I believe as much as children need knowledge and structure they also need love and compassion.

I am seeking a position teaching in an elementary school classroom. I hope to inspire students to seek out new information. I would like to help my students see the novelty and wonder in learning new ideas and facts. I want to initiate curiosity and have them leave my classroom with an open mind to all subjects no matter their ability.
