Jill Klausen

Redondo Beach, California by way of St. Louis Mo.

I am many things: wife, friend, humanitarian, dog-lover, cat-lover, Progressive, copy editor, political blog editor, change advocate, communications consultant, genuinely happy person.

And I have been many other things in the past: business school student; pompom squad co-captain; cat-hater; runway, tea room and hair model; assistant buyer for a furniture manufacturer; office manager for a temp agency, a freight-forwarding company, and a political consulting and property management firm (yes, we did both from one office); sales rep for accounting software, temp services, and yellow-page advertising; resort greeter and time-share-pitch roper-inner; and business owner of a roommate matching service (which I was pretty darn good at, if I do say so myself).

I love having been a "Jill of all trades," because I've learned so many things about business, about the world and about life, and I strive to continue learning always.

My current job as the copy editor for business news site Business Insider rocks, because there is no better job than one that affords you the opportunity to constantly learn, while at the same time letting you satisfy your inner grammar diva and not be thought rude for doing so.
