I was born and raised in Memphis, TN before meeting my husband Silas in 2007. City girl met country boy and 8 months later, wedding bells! We now have two little men, Isaac and Benjamin, that keep us both entertained and exhausted! My days consist mostly of spilled cheerios, hot wheels, and breaking up toddler brawls. Thankfully God has created children 4 and under (if you’re lucky) to need a daily nap. Most of this time is spent doing what makes my heart full- women's ministry through writing and leading the evening Bible study at Highpoint Church.

God became more to me than a Sunday service and bedtime prayer during my time in college at Mississippi State. It was there that the Lord began to remove everything that I’d relied on for security and esteem and teach me how to depend solely on Him. Those first two years of college were some of the hardest times in my life, but I learned a valuable lesson that I’ve carried with me every day since: God’s Word alone holds the power to heal our souls and bring hope in our darkest moments. I hope that’s what this blog can be for you- a place to come and receive His Word of Life during the tough days (or weeks, months, years). May God make His presence undeniably experienced in a way that will change us forever.
