I believe that design in and of itself is not the answer to anything. It’s the bright bow and beautiful gift wrap that appears on a package containing something that is wonderful, relevant and engaging. Great design is about business – it creates an environment and gives context to the solution or interaction offered. It delivers content, experiences and brands to the hearts and minds of the intended audience. It causes reaction and generates action. It drives revenue.
For more than 30 years I’ve put my heart and soul on the line with each and every engagement. Why? I’m passionate about what I do and I enjoy daily challenges. Because each day I work, I grow as a creator, designer and business person. Because I enjoy collaboration and teamwork and I thrive on the energy and passion others bring to a project. I love to set the bar high and then exceed all expectations.
Capabilities? You name it. Anything advertising, print, interactive, exhibit, broadcast and animation - I’ve probably done it. I’ve been lucky enough to work for well established brands like Time Inc., Disney, Hyperion, ESPN, A&E, History Channel, McDonald’s, WebMD, Quintiles Transnational and Red Hat – plus new ones like PGi and iMeet to name a few. Typically I take on a multitude of projects from a multitude of internal clients in a multitude of mediums. I acquire and direct external agency and developer relationships. I oversee the creative output of internal agencies, development teams and freelance contractors on a global scale. Let’s just say I’ve been voted “least likely to lead a boring life.”
What does all this mean to you? Simple. I’m an experienced Executive Creative Director that maintains his design chops – I can still get in the trenches with my staff and play ball when I need to. I’m a team player – I know how to inspire others and want to be inspired by them. I’m a business person who knows that there has to be tangible value assessed to each of my artistic endeavors. I’m a can do guy. I make things happen. I listen and I deliver.
