Jimena Almendares

I am the Product Director at Meetup, where I lead network analytics and product across desktop, mobile web, iPhone and Android platforms.

A recent transplant to NYC, I worked at Zynga, Facebook, Eventbrite in the Bay Area. I’ve also worked in other 15 countries in Strategy Consulting, as well as in Business Development and Operations. Education wise, I graduated from MIT (MBA) and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, in France (MA and BA).

I have a diverse background and know how to develop products with different use cases in mind.

I’m passionate about Product because of everything that happens behind the curtains. From the analytical aspect of identifying opportunities crunching large chunks of data and distilling user insights to define a balanced product roadmap. To the really hands on collaboration with cross-functional teams to launch products that allows us to learn and iterate. All, without forgetting the pixel-level perfectionism and marketing that wraps an experience to drive user engagement (and monetization) by making things feel simple and enjoyable.
