Marina Jimenez

Hey, my name is Marina and I currently live in Canada. However, I would love to build a career in another country. I am currently obtaining a degree in Bachelor of Business Administation with a marketing emphasis. I have two diplomas under me, excluding my high school diploma. These diplomas are my Architectural Technology diploma, and my Marketing diploma. I would be willing to engage in online studies to finish my business degree if accepted for a certain number of positions.

I have grown so much in the last few years, and although I was an extremely determined person prior to discovering this, I feel like I am even more determined to succeed in what ever it is that I want from life.

I come from a place where everyone loves hockey, and I fight to get the basketball game to play on the television. I feel like my people aren't here, and so I need to go where they are.

I have been fortunate enought to have been involved with the Edmonton Energy (when they existed). They were Edmonton's basketball team in the IBL league, and I had the privilige of being on the dance team. That is definitely where my love for basketball started. Don't get me wrong, I love football too, it carries me until the NBA starts again, the CFL that is. I have yet to delve into the NFL, it might be love.

Through the Edmonton Energy I have been able to attend numerous events that were both useful for my career but also personally. Some of the events were extremely touching and inspiring and it was amazing to be a part of them. We did things like volunteer for the Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign, attended an elementary school to promote fitness, attend a bowling tournament hosted by 92.5 Joe FM for the Children's Ability Fund, as well as other events.

I am in the process of possessing all the right book smarts to go out there and do an amazing job in some sort of sports marketing field, but I believe that what sets me apart from others are the personality traits and characterisitics I already have.

I am unlike any other you will ever meet, and to me that is the most special quality I can possess.
