Jim Fallis

Jim Fallis is a professional who focuses on athletics, and he draws on experiences as a college professor, head coach, athletic director, and nonprofit director from his impressive career which spans over 30 years. His work has taught him the value of challenging student-athletes socially, in the classroom, and on the field. Throughout the course of his career, Jim Fallis has played an instrumental role in the success and development of thousands of student-athletes.
Upon graduating from Lake Superior State University (LSSU) in 1981, Jim Fallis went to work for his alma mater as an Assistant Professor and Head Wrestling Coach. In the classroom, Jim developed a curriculum for the school’s Exercise Science program. He also led the university through several years of athletic success: LSSU won wrestling conference championships in 1981, and in 1986, Jim’s student-athletes wrapped up an undefeated season with an NCAA Regional Championship.
His work as head wrestling coach earned him a chance to serve as LSSU’s Athletic Director, a role he assumed starting in 1986. Jim Fallis would go on to serve as the Director of Athletics for the University of Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona University after his time at LSSU.
In 2012, Jim Fallis accepted a unique opportunity to work as the Executive Director of Beat the Streets, a New York City-based nonprofit that uses wrestling as a vehicle to help middle school and high school students unlock their full physical, cognitive, and social potential. Under his leadership, Beat the Streets was able to offer 75 boys programs, 20 girls programs, and 60 middle school programs in 2015 across New York City. Jim transitioned to an advisory role at Beat the Streets in 2015 as well.
Today, Jim Fallis remains a passionate advocate for student-athletes who applies his expertise to his professional and philanthropic endeavors. He lives with his wife in Henderson, Nevada.
