Jim Finn’s father was supportive of his son’s dreams of NFL glory from the very beginning. When a then 7-year-old Jim Finn looked at the professional football players in the stadium near his home and said, “I can do that,” his father responded with a simple, “I know.” Although the road to the NFL would be challenging, his father encouraged him every step of the way.

A multifaceted athlete - Jim Finn won the State Championship as a high school wrestler in the 185-pound weight class. He subsequently played varsity football at the University of Pennsylvania, where he lettered all four years and set school records for rushing yards, attempts, and touchdowns. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, he achieved his lifelong dream when he was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL draft. He went on to greater fame as a fullback with the Indianapolis Colts and later the New York Giants, giving him the opportunity to play in the same stadium that he attended with his father as a child.
