I'm a former English, computers, and video production teacher and co-founder of The Through Students' Eyes project. Having served as a city school teacher since 1996, I was recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2007 and Google Certified Teacher in 2008. I served as Editor of the NAPDS academic journal School-University Partnerships, leaving the voluntary post in 2013. I received my B.F.A. in Photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of Technology and my M.Ed. in Computer Uses in Education at Cleveland State University, where I was also named Distinguished Alumnus, 2008. I served as an adjunct teacher educator at Baldwin-Wallace College for 14 years beginning in 2001, and Cleveland State beginning in 1998.

I authored/co-authored several literacy-focused articles, book chapters, and successful grants in relation to my work with Through Studentsʼ Eyes and the impact of the iPad on student literacy. My seminal work on the TSE was published by Rowman and Littlefield in 2016. I am currently employed as a Professional Learning Specialist, delivering professional learning in P-16 settings across the United States, primarily using a coaching model wherein I work shoulder-to-shoulder with teachers where it matters most: in their classrooms and with their students.

I'm an avid photographer and share much of my images on Instagram.
