Jim Scott

Jim Scott retired after 33 years as a frontline manager in the aviation and transportation industry. He is a disabled veteran, who served two and a half tours in Vietnam. Attended the University Maryland extension, Clayton State University, Columbia School of Broadcasting, Georgia State University, United States Army Southern Eastern Signal School and numerous schools and courses while on active duty with the Army.

Mr. Scott has been a living history presenter for more than 30 years and a researcher of military history as it relates to the participation of Americans of African descent and other minorities for 40 years.

In addition to research, Mr. Scott is a storyteller, writer, speaker, Historian and co-host of UPDATE radio talk show. Scott and the 3-D Readers present “Letters from US Colored Troops” based on letters written during the Civil War, this program of narrative, stories and readings remembers an era and its people.
