Jim Kalishman
James (Jim) Kalishman draws on his extensive experience and education in marketing, finance, and technology to fulfill his current role as Chief Information Officer of SAK Construction. SAK Construction, an underground construction contractor that rehabilitates water and sewer pipes without disruption, is one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. Among other responsibilities, Mr. Kalishman leads the strategic management of operational data at the company. Specifically, he presided over SAK Construction's adoption of a state-of-the-art construction management information system, which has helped the company leverage its data as a competitive advantage.
Prior to SAK Construction, Mr. Kalishman worked as Vice President of Marketing and was a Board Member of SecureAxis Software. Earlier in his career, Jim Kalishman co-founded a DSL company that quickly grew from zero to over 150 employees. As President of Maverix.net, he led operations of one of the major digital subscriber line startups in the country. His duties included vendor negotiations, management of the sales and marketing teams, and product design. Mr. Kalishman has also held management positions at Ameritech New Media (a joint venture between Ameritech and Disney), Kraft Foods, and Johnson & Johnson.
Mr. Kalishman earned a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Mr. Kalishman also received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans. As an undergraduate, he studied in London as a participant in the Syracuse University International Program.
In his spare time, Jim Kalishman enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and any new technologies. He also likes to watch movies and spend time with his young family.
