I am now beginning a second career, at the age of...in my early fifties! C'mon you didn't think I was going to tell it that readily do you? As a first occupation, I crawled (and got the bad knees to prove it!) around probably hundreds of miles while the trade as a self-employed flooring installer was plied for almost twenty years. The two favorite parts to this portion of my life was the travel and the lack of monotony. Worksites were altered practically every few days, sometimes as often as each day. And tile, carpeting and vinyl sheet goods were installed at various times.

Then thirteen years ago, a massive stroke to the brain stem was sustained. That catastrophic event took away any hope of continuing any physical job at all. Being left confined to a wheelchair for mobility, and a noticeable difference in speech; nevertheless writing was seen as an opportunity discovered in the later stages.

So I entered Southeast Missouri State University and earned a B.A. in Journalism in 2014. While in college, several articles were written for the campus newspaper, the Arrow, there. Since graduating, a few novels have been dabbled with, some writing conferences have been enthusiastically attended, and this website and the subsequent blogging are now being explored.
