Born in Northallerton in 1992, I was brought up in a household that adored Motorsport, mostly due to my Father, Stuart. So far he has attended 20 Isle of Man TT's, 13 MotoGP Rounds, 3 Formula One Grand Prix, 4 World Superbike Rounds, 3 British Superbike Rounds, and countless visits to Scarborough's Oliver's Mount in North Yorkshire, for Road Racing. This oozing enthusiasm rapidly rubbed off on me, and by the age of four I was hooked on Cars and Bikes. As I got older I became more interested than perhaps my Mother wanted, as she wasn't so hooked on Motorsport. I didn't care however, as I would sooner watch a Grand Prix on the Tele, than watch Football or Rugby, and sooner pretend I was Carl Fogarty or Mick Doohan on my bicycle than play either of those Sports! Obviously I cannot remember my very first attendances, but I can remember getting incredibly restless and excited at the back of a car when I saw the Dunlop bridge at Donington Park, smelling the machines as I opened the window, and practically dragging my Dad trackside. That feeling of 'I'm here' was the best thing in the world for me, and it still is. Progressing through school my love for it all grew stronger and stronger, and before I knew it, I was more of an anorak than my Father. In 2007 I sadly lost my Mother to skin cancer, and went through a low point in my childhood. After my GCSE's, I went to college to study Performing Arts which was my second passion, I graduated well but after some time I discovered my heart just wasn't in Acting as much as Motorsport. By this time my main interest was by far with MotoGP, and after attending the 2013 British GP, I just knew I wanted to be involved in the Sport. I attended the final round in Valencia, spent time in the Paddock, took some advice, and decided to start the JimmyMotoGP Blog in January 2014.
