Jim Polston

I am a visual artist, professional rock guitarist and music marketer living and working out of Charleston, South Carolina, USA. Marketing includes web development, social media development, and business strategy. My art skills and interests are commercial as well as fine art / outsider art, traditional and digital media.

I presently play guitar with the reunion of the original Bounty Hunter rock band as well as a new heavy rock band project, both from South Carolina. I've worked with the late Danny Joe Brown of Molly Hatchet, Buddy Guy, Dr. John, Second Hand Rose, Edisto Gumbo, Arsÿnn, Headrush, Black Gold, The Roustabouts, The Soulful Sons, and Bloody Kansas to name a few. Bounty Hunter celebrates its 30th anniversary in May of 2012. As a "southern rock" band, we've been experimental in our music and with our marketing. And having enjoyed past success, we are continuing bravely into the modern age.

Experience has shown that if you know what you're doing in the grand scheme of things -not just in your own mind-, and have the wherewithall to go for it like you have a pair, then those two attributes give a considerable advantage worth banking on. Otherwise, park it and put a fence around it.

I continually work on my skills and talents. I also teach guitar/music theory and Photoshop.
