Jimmy Yap is a veteran editor and writer who has worked with newspapers, websites and trade magazines for over a decade.

He pioneered the Internet beat at The Straits Times, and was the founding editor of CNET in Asia. As the co-author of The Singapore Internet Book (published by Longman), he helped many people take their first steps online in the city-state.

He excels in translating complex technology and financial issues into clear, jargon-free language.

He has written for Internet Magazine (UK), Media (Hong Kong), Silver Kris (Singapore) and MIS (Australia), among others.

He has five children and co-founded Riverkids Project, a non-profit helping children at risk for child trafficking in Cambodia.
