I currently live and work on a barrier island on the Atlantic coast of Florida with my lovely wife. We love to travel and explore the world around us which gives me an expanded perspective for my subject matter. I'll usually bring a sketch book and my camera to capture the places we've visited and use those in my studio as inspiration for a painting or two. I'm drawn to the coast where the water, sea and sky meet. That seems to be a constant theme in my work. The immediacy of plein air painting is something that I enjoy as well. The need to complete a painting in one go to capture the light has made me a better painter in the studio.

Largely self taught, with an occasional workshop here or there, I've been artistic all of my life and delve into learning more every with breath. It's the journey and the destination.

I love to let people interpret my art and photography. It should speak to you and tell you what it wants you to know. The story, the feeling, and emotion is what you bring to any art you see, and that's the way it should be.
