Jim Pruetting

Have 32 years of law enforcement experience; with two (2) years as Chief of Police in Gardner, Kansas and thirty (30) years with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.

Joined as a Police Officer, Sept. 1984 to Dec. 1991; Sergeant, Dec. 1991 to June 1996; Captain - June 1996 to October 2011 and Major - October 2011 to February 2015 in the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department. Presently, working as Police Chief (February 2015 to Present) in the Gardner, Kansas Police Department.

Also taught online business classes for Grantham University for past eight years (ie. Nov. 2009 to present) which includes Organizational Behavior, Consumer Behavior, Principles of Business Management, Human Resource Management, Business Communication, etc.

Also Lead Authenticator at Major League Baseball (April 2006 to Present).

Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Park University (1995) & a Master’s Degree in Management from Baker University (1999).

During free time, coach daughter’s 14 and under fastpitch softball team. Also do authentication for the Kansas City Royals.
