Jim Quinlivan is Founder and Chief Content Creator at groupQ Communications (1998) – a Chicago-area business specializing in simplified marketing for small and medium-sized businesses. He is a recognized expert in marketing and communications. At groupQ, Jim and his network of partners help small and medium-sized businesses solve business problems with a simplified and integrated mix of content marketing.

Over the past 25 years, Jim has built several creative and communications organizations – both entrepreneurial and within larger companies. In his own businesses and in larger agencies, he has provided marketing strategy, creative communications and content marketing to over 100 companies in a variety of vertical industries. Jim has also written and produced conversion-driving and award-winning content – from print and radio advertising to direct mail, from websites to white papers, from video scripts to articles…and more.

Jim has published articles and reviews in Writers Digest, Cincinnati Magazine, Rivertown Times, How Magazine, Print Magazine, DM News, Direct, and the Elburn Herald. In the last 20 years, Jim has been recognized with awards for marketing, creative direction and writing by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA ECHO Awards), Cincinnati DMA, Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing, Society for Technical Communications (STC), Mail Advertising Association (MASA), Mailing & Fulfillment Services Association (MFSA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Jim earned a BA in Literature and Writing from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and studied Journalism at the University of Cincinnati. Jim also earned his Certified Professional (Honors Distinction) certification from the online Inbound Marketing University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2010. Jim lives with his wife Cindy in Lafayette, Louisiana.
