Jim's passion and expertise is in partnering with visionaries to lead growing disruptive technology-related businesses through scale and exit.

Most recently, he led Canesta, a company that invented a low cost 3D sensing company that enables machines to see, as CEO from 2006 through its successful sale to Microsoft in 2010 for Xbox One Kinect.

Jim is an experienced growth executive having managed complexity from concept stage to $250M in revenue. He has grown businesses across diverse fields such as software, mobile, broadband telecommunications, semiconductors, and consumer Internet services.

Earlier in his career, he honed his skills in business development and product management roles in large companies such as Microsoft and General Instrument/Motorola. Jim has an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth and a BS in Electrical Engineering from NC State.

He currently serves as a Board Member and Executive Advisor to disruptive growth technology companies.
