Jim Squires

St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada

A charming personality and a winning smile have paved the way to something most nerds can only dream of: a career surrounded by the things I love. My name is Jim Squires, and I'm a freelance journalist with a focus on video games, technology, and pop culture.

My work has appeared in a variety of outlets over the last few years, including Joystiq, Touch Arcade, Perpetual Geek Machine, and The Toronto Star. I currently serve as the Editor-in-Chief at Gamezebo.

I've also done a smattering of TV and podcast work, appearing as a mobile gaming expert on CP24's WebNation and occupying the role of show regular on the now defunct video game podcast theBBPS bitcast.

One time I was ambushed by Cobra Commander.

In addition to writing and editing, I'm available for consulting and freelance PR services. If you need to get the word out about your game, who better to help than someone who knows the editorial side of the business?

I'm always open to unique work opportunities, so if you think you have something for me, drop me a line!
