Pulling prosperity out of thin air is the philosophy by which I live. A love for words and performing, have been the driving forces in my life and career in radio, television, stage, film, and corporate communications. Or, as Oliver Stone once said to me, "Jim, you big ham. Come on over here. I've got a few things I want you to ad lib for Bob (Richardson) and me." [on the set of "JFK") A lifetime of worship at the altar of "Suspension of Disbelief", has made me a passionate fan and student of movies, the theatre, and music. I love singing. I've been honored to receive many awards for my radio shows and television news features. The highlight of my career is the opportunity I shared with my wife Vicki as we created one of the most successful food and wine festivals in the country, Savor Dallas. I am honored to have co-founded DFW Restaurant Week in association with CBS Radio. The event has raised over ten-million dollars for the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope. I'm working on new wining and dining content these days, and developing a travel feature (about great food and wine destinations) called "Journeys with Jim White". I am energized by new projects, and after they are well established, I love to hand them off to the tactical folks to handle the day-to-day activities. I live by the core philosophy espoused by Eleanor Roosevelt: "Small minds discuss people. Average minds discuss events. Great minds discuss ideas". I am a believer in lifelong learning. Vicki and I live in the Lakewood area of Dallas. I have a daughter and two grandsons. My interests include food, wine, travel, movies, music, singing, writing, photography, the ocean, and the study of whales. As a member of The Vocal Majority I won a gold medal in international competition with the globally renowned chorus. I think I've been in radio all of my life, working in Dallas, San Francisco and Chicago. So honored when my peers voted me for induction into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame (2010). I'm lucky. I've gotten to blend my passion for broadcasting and special events with my love of food, wine, and travel. Jim White Media develops media strategies and multi-media content. I've got two new projects to unveil in 2017 undergoing fine-tuning.
