Jim Gibson

Jim Gibson has been at forefront of the last four major technology paradigm shifts and has a unique perspective on what is happening and more importantly what is happening next. With his extensive hand-on experience and a B.Comm and an MBA, Jim's has the background to help technology start-ups grow from powerful ideas to commercial viability. With solid strategic planning, operations and a Venture Capital background, Jim has been instrumental in the success of several technology companies and a variety of verticals.

Jim has over 25 years of hands on operational, company building and software development experience. Jim’s expertise resides in business & product strategy, mergers & acquisitions, enterprise technical architecture, product development strategies and senior team facilitation and leadership. Jim is currently the President & CEO of Purus Technologies and his past experiences also include his role as the Managing Partner of The CORE Group, a venture capital firm as well as being a partner with Sierra Systems, an IT and management consulting services company with more than 1000 employees in 13 locations in Canada and the United States.

Married with 3 adult children, Jim is active in the Calgary community and currently is a Director of Alberta Ballet.
