Artist and Student in Manila
What’s up! I’m Joaquin, and I am a Musician and Performer whose passion for the arts knows no bounds. Born and raised in Las Pinas, I discovered a love for music, acting, and art at an early age, setting the stage for a diverse and vibrant career.
Prior to entering university, I starred in many student-short films and won accolades such as Best Actor in both Supporting and Leading Roles, to name a few. My acting credits were showcased at the 2022 UP Film Festival, as well as my performance for the UP Dulaang Laboratoryo under the direction of Dexter M. Santos.
As a fourth-year student studying Music Theatre at the University of Santo Tomas under the tutelage of the Philippines' most esteemed Opera singer, Dr. Ronan Ferrer, DMA., I have dedicated my academic journey to honing my craft and expanding my skills in the world of performing arts. In addition to my pursuits as a musician, actor, artist, and performer, I am a proud member of the UST Coro Tomasino, a renowned choir that has achieved acclaim for its music, under the baton of Mark Raeniel Agpasa.
As a young artist living in Manila, I find inspiration among my professors, colleagues, and the musical community I am part of. Motivated by a deep sense of purpose, my artistic endeavors are driven by a sincere desire to contribute positively to the world. Through my music, acting, and performances, and a belief in the transformative power of art, I aim to inspire, uplift, and connect to people on a profound level. I aspire to use my talents to catalyze change and spark conversations that can lead to a better world.
