Jin Song Yom

Over the course of her career, Dr. Jin Yom has demonstrated a commitment to patient care as well as a talent for practice management. She leads as managing dentist for Smile San Diego, where she manages associate practitioners and staff while providing comprehensive patient care. Dr. Jin Yom comes to her role with experience as managing dentist and dental director of the North San Diego district of Smile Care Dental, and as an associate dentist with other area practices.

During her time as a biology and chemistry student at Williamette University, Dr. Jin Yom received the Presidential Carson Research Scholarship and the Howard and Mae Belton Academic Scholarship. She also gained experience as a scholarship research investigator with a team at Oregon Health Sciences University. She went on to enroll in dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She balanced her academic responsibilities with externship services at such care centers as the HOPE Dental Clinic, the Jackson Community Dental Clinic, and the Wadsworth Dental Clinic. Actively involved in the community, she volunteers as a cook for women and children who are in need, and with her local humane society.
