Jiri studied Economics and Management, which is very wide area for self-realization at the Technical University of Liberec in the Czech Republic. Since he has started his studies, he was interested in marketing, macroeconomics and in the main the e-business. That is why his bachelor and masters thesis were on this topic. In the first case it was on the “Economic effect of electronic markets”, and in the second one it was on the “Role of e-commerce in a business environment from the economic point of view”. In order to get some experience and materials for his studies he spent some months in San Francisco and bay area too.
In spite of his career was predetermined for the Internet business, he started his career in Automotive industry since 2000 just after his graduation at the University.
He has spent there almost 13 years where he has quickly promoted to the position of commercial director and later to CEO and a member of B.O.D. for Europe office and in the US branch. In his job he developed his managerial skills and visit many places on this Planet. In 2012 he and his yearly friend David Bull from NY came with a brand new Internet idea which did not exist yet. In 2013 both established a company Houstalgia, Inc. in the US and also a branch in Europe.
