JJ (Hans) VAN DER LAAN is a natural entrepreneur and business developer. Over the years, he successfully acquired, divested and franchised businesses. In 2019, he founded Finance4Learning.

Finance4Learning aims to help individuals realise ambitions whilst helping training institutes, colleges & universities drive enrollments. Finance4Learning does so in conjunction with highly respectable organisations such as Banco Santander (no. 4 in the world) and the European Investment Fund (€50m for learning & development).

Nomad

Long before it became fashionable, JJ was a kind of digital nomad working and living in a number of countries, including France, Ireland and the Netherlands. He sold and managed oftentimes complicated learning & development projects in e.g:

• Americas | Canada, Caribbean, USA
• Asia | China, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Taiwan
• Europe | Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK

Speaker & Commentator

He regularly features as a keynote presenter for e.g. Chambers of Commerce, business associations, service clubs and incompany events. Hans has appeared in newspapers such as Financieele Dagblad, the Sunday Times, Telegraaf, Utrechts Nieuwsblad and Algemeen Dagblad as well as on TV (RTE) and radio (Amsterdam FM, BNR and NPO Radio 1 & 2).

Always Be Learning

Practice what your preach: JJ (Hans) VAN DER LAAN doesn't just financially support ambitious individuals to continue to learn, he does so himself as well. For example, in 2022 he became a Certified Digital Marketing Professional.

Spare Time

JJ is as proud as punch of his three children who are all doing very well indeed. Spare time is spent on brisk and longer walks, discussing geopolitic, skiing, socialising and motorcycling.
