Following a successful career in the corporate world, I returned to my purpose with a passion and unique ability to lift the veil from our built heritage and capture a moment in the lifetime of my subjects in a way that allows the viewer to experience the subtle beauty or architectural bones hidden by the ages. My aim is to capture places as they are - or were, before they are irretrievably lost to progress or shortsightedness. Inspired by familiarity; places we grew up with, spent time at or visited, my subjects are portrayed in a flattering light. The colour palette is limited yet striking, emphasizing details often overlooked. I encourage dialogue regarding the places depicted, the merits for continued use or inspired new visions.
