Dr. JJ Ayers

I have a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a strong minor in Educational Technology. My dissertation investigated how technology used in a classroom impacted student engagement. With over 10 years in the classroom experience, I have been the Technology Integrator at McKinney Boyd High School for the past four years. There I specialize in technology integration into curriculum. I am part of a onsite campus Design Center, based in part on Dr. Phil Schlechty's ideals surrounding increased engagement. In that Design Center, I help teachers achieve the Modification and Redefinition levels of the SAMR model more frequently by focusing on increased student engagement.
