JJ Murphy

John Joseph Murphy is currently the city manager for Hobbs, NM. He came to Hobbs after serving as the city administrator for Wilkes Barre, PA. Bringing his breadth of experience to New Mexico.

While in Wilkes Barre, J.J. accomplished some pretty remarkable things that really helped shaped the city and get some of its favorite programs up and running. His five year plan saved the city from bankruptcy while his park programs transformed the look of the city. On top of this transformation JJ was also able to advanced its techonology situation. Wilkes Barre was known as one of the least technologically savvy cities around but with JJ's guidance it was able to make marked improvements in this area with little cost to the municipality.

JJ has brought this experience and his strong sense of community to Hobbs with even great plans of action in mind!
