Hello, my name is James Brookes. I have been involved in Software Development for the past 11 years and have loved technology all of my life. To call me a Nerd would not be totally inaccurate.

I help companies create the tools they need in order to do business more effectively. I have worked on large variety of projects: developing military tank software, developing Linux platforms for casino gaming, automation scripts and software for a national retail company, and have run my own consulting company for the past year and a half.

Right now I am working on learning web application development using Wordpress as a foundation. There are a bunch of technologies there that I have been super interested in learning about surrounding frameworks like react JS and angularJS.

I am married to a wonderful wife 10 years. We have a beautiful 4 year old daughter who has Cerebral Palsy and Autism. We have been very involved in the Special Needs community. We can often be found within a variety of groups on Facebook supporting other parents, sharing what we have learned, and looking for ideas on how to best provide for our child.

I am a game enthusiast of all kinds, owning over 300 board games and a back log of Steam games I do not even want to think about. I enjoy Science and Physics, often doing math problems in my free time. And I love contemplating the nature of the universe, why people believe what they believe, and other academic philosophical questions.
