Hello wonderful people!

My name is Joy and it's a pleasure to virtually introduce myself! I feel obligated to start with all of my accomplishments and goals, but let's be honest here, we are all lost in some way, just trying to figure out how to accomplish our goals; do remember, it's okay to be in the in-between stage! :)

At this point in my life, I have a few things to be proud of, but so much more to see, produce and create that I have yet to reap the joys of. I believe that my identity is not defined by my accomplishments, but by my passions and the kindness of my heart; because what is an accomplishment with no personal substance? I'd say it's a bragging right.

My 19 years here on earth have revealed to me a few passions that I just can't shake! As a Media Production student at Ryerson University, I have an undying love for creating something out of nothing; my fascination with a thought becoming a work of art has stemmed from my interest in social justice causes. Discrimination of all sorts is inevitable, but through creating noise, with our talents and voices, we aught to be heard! I am specifically inclined to issues of racism, sexism, mental health and animal abuse. I express and advocate these passions through my paintings and vegan lifestyle.

As much as I'd love to end this off with a clearly stated job title and the "vision" that everyone seems to have sorted out, I have to be honest in saying that I'm currently taking things one day at a time, I don't even know what tomorrow will bring. My ultimate goal in life is to mesh my passions into a fun and purposeful career, and more importantly, to someday earn the title of "mother".
