J. Kim Powell

A direct lender and investment banker, J. Kim Powell has over three decades of experience in finance. Given his range of experience, J. Kim Powell is able to provide a portfolio of debt and equity instruments to suit almost any need.

While studying chemistry, business, and economics at the University of Utah, J. Kim Powell joined Graphics Systems in Salt Lake City. J. Kim Powell was responsible for designing the company’s first computerized inventory system, in addition to making purchasing decisions on printing-related equipment and materials.

Subsequently, J. Kim Powell founded Summit Financial and Investment Group, LLC, based in South Jordan, Utah. Summit Financial and Investment Group has successfully financed apartment complexes, assisted living facilities, car washes, churches, golf courses, hospitals, medical clinics, and a complete range of other retail, industrial, and business properties under the leadership if J. Kim Powell. A member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, J. Kim Powell provides a complete range of debt and equity products for commercial and business property development, both across the United States and internationally.

Outside of his business activities, J. Kim Powell contributes to his church and several charities, including the United Way, Toys for Tots, and the Boy Scouts of America. J. Kim Powell has also served as a delegate for the Utah State Republican Party.
