I was born in Ontario, Canada in 1991.
My family moved to northern BC a couple years later, where we lived for almost a decade.
During this time, my interest in computers and technology in general grew. I would regularly take our old home PC apart and try to put it back together again, to varying degrees of success. I was homeschooled and my parents encouraged me to spend a lot of time tinkering, which I certainly did.
On the 20th of March, 2002, we moved 12,200kms to Christchurch, New Zealand, where we lived for 6 years.
My interest in technology had expanded beyond merely tinkering to a desire to understand how everything works, and I got more into programming around this point. My language of choice was Visual Basic.
We moved to Timaru in 2008. I had saved up some money from the various odd jobs I'd had over the years, and I wanted to do something different to "broaden my horizons", so I completed a certificate of graphic design at Aoraki Polytechnic.
I stayed in Timaru for a couple more years before moving back to Christchurch on my own to study at CPIT (now known as Ara), completing a BICT just over 3 years later in 2013.
I have been a technology enthusiast my whole life, and am blessed to have my passion as my career.
I have worked in a variety of places and roles, consulting and full-time. I'm currently working as a Product Manager for Auror since May 2021.
