J. L. Fleckenstein
Born in Kentucky, raised out in the country in North Carolina, survived thirty something years in the heart of Los Angeles, settled down finally on a 50-acre 200+ year old farm in upstate New York ... I write, I paint, I knit. I've raised two children on my own, and they are both amazingly beautiful and talented adults and artists in their own right. My two-year old granddaughter is my special joy, and I have finally late in life met and married my sole-squeeze, as I like to call him. Live has knocked me around quite a bit over the years, and my response has been to survive, expand, flourish, prosper, and create joy in any way and place I choose to. I believe in generating a profound and sincere sense of gratitude within myself for all of the ins and outs of life, the "right" turns as well as those that at first glance seem to be a mistake. It all makes sense some where along the line, and I and learned to embrace it all. Plus I encourage others to do the same. I write a blog that quite a lot of people seem to love (I Live on a Farm), I am a fine art painter (oils and watercolor), and I have started a publishing house that is becoming the family business. I love my fellow man, cherish my family, revere light, and celebrate life.
