Jose is an engineer living in Barcelona taking a strong interest in the opportunity to work in the environmental field. Having studied and worked before in a European environment in the Netherlands and Belgium, He is used to work in international teams, to apply high standards and to meet tight deadlines.

As an architect by profession, specialized in sustainable infrastructure and planning takes a strong interest in regional planning, landscape, resource management and mobility. In 2010 he got a post-master scholarship from "La Caixa" to study two years Msc in Sustainable Infrastructure and Technology that he completed in 2012.

Building from this theoretical and professional basis combined with his personal experiences both in Europe as in Asia, he developed specific core values with regards to environment that can be summarized as follows:

⦁ The importance of the transition towards a self-sufficient society in resources and energy;
⦁ Mobility as a major factor of environmental impact;
⦁ An interconnected net as a tool for sustainability;
⦁ The promotion of local infrastructure and technologies;
⦁ Technology as a key to community benefit but without forgetting the limitations;
⦁ The importance of the efficient management of resources.

He is an energetic person, empathetic and aware of individual responsibilities within the coexistence in society. He combines these personality traits with being hard working, precise and committed. He is fluent in Spanish and English and he is perfectly capable conversing in basic French. Given his professional background and personal experiences, he takes a keen interest in urbanism, landscape, transport, mobility, smart cities and management of land and resources.
