Continuity and Clery Compliance Coordinator in San Francisco, CA
I currently serve as the Continuity and Clery Compliance Coordinator at San Francisco State University where I am responsible for the development and implementation of business and academic continuity plans across campus and assisting the Clery Director with the management of Clery Act Compliance.
My research interests focus heavily on emergency management in higher education, especially as it relates to college student vulnerability and resilience. My dissertation focuses on the lived experiences of college students during the 2025 LA County Wildfires. Additionally, I am interested in the intersections between social identities and disasters, especially those of LGBT+ and disabled individuals.
I have 15+ years of experience educating college students to be engaged global citizens. Further, in my previous role at Agnes Scott College, I developed the Impact Peer Leaders program, which has been described by participants as an "activist incubator" and "community-organizing bootcamp".
I hold a BA in Religious and Ethical Studies from Meredith College (Raleigh, NC), a MA in College Student Development from Appalachian State University (Boone, NC), and a MS in Data Analysis and Communication from Agnes Scott College (Decatur, GA). I am currently a Ph.D. student in Fire and Emergency Management Administration at Oklahoma State University (Stillwater, OK).
