A former broadcast journalist with more than 15 years of experience in television, radio and digital media, Janette began her career as a news anchor/reporter in the U.S. before moving to Toronto in 2006 to host a current affairs show. She has since focused her expertise on consulting and managing social media, publicity and crowdfunding campaigns for a wide range of clients, including the Open Democracy Project and filmmakers Sarah Polley and Brett Story. Janette currently oversees strategy and communications for A BETTER MAN, a groundbreaking documentary that infuses new energy and possibility into the movement to end violence against women. She is also working with Common Wealth to promote the firm's retirement plans for those without pensions. Janette graduated in 1998 from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Latin.
