J&M Acres Horse Rescue

J&M; Acres Horse Rescue is an all-breed private rescue located in Maple Ridge, BC that began in 1995. Since then, we have helped to rescue and re-home over 500 horses; the majority of whom, were on their way to slaughter. Many of the horses who come to us end up in our care because their owners are no longer able to afford them. We provide care while the horses are at the rescue as well as assess them both on the ground and under saddle for potential adoptees. If you are prepared to adopt, please check out our available horses - you never know what you might find! If you see a horse you would like to meet, please review our adoption application and contract before getting in touch. Each adoption requires a contract, which is set in place to protect our horses from ending up in these situations again. All of our adoptions do come with two-week trial periods to ensure a good fit before the adoption is completed.
