Jessica McDonald

I am a graduate student at Eastern Illinois University in Communication Studies and Collegiate Pedagogy. I will be graduating and completeing my M.A. in May of 2013. I graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Communication and Culture with a minor in Marketing from the IU Kelley School of Business. My interests include critical and cultural communication, media studies, alternative media, popular culture, collective/public memory, message construction, culture studies, marketing, advertising, and social media.

After graduation I would like to pursue a career in marketing or brand communication. I have a particular interest in creative marketing. I have experience in professional writing, event planning, promotion, management, customer service, marketing, public relations, research, and teaching. I currently serve as the Vice President of Programming for the Eastern Illinois University Graduate Student Advisory Council in Charleston, IL and the Marketing/PR consultant for East Richland School District #1 in Olney, IL.
