JMELVIN SMITH

J. Melvin Smith has a graduate degree in business, and is a healthcare executive and business consultant. Mr. Smith served in the military police before starting his civilian career as a corporate auditor and fraud investigator. A major national health care provider recruited him as an acquisitions auditor, and later appointed him Vice President for Operations in the firm's homecare division, a position he held until he left to become a consultant. He lives near Boston with his wife and daughter. His son and daughter-in-law live near-by. Mr. Smith is the author of many major corporate studies and reports. Multiples, his first work of fiction, combines elements of his military, investigative, and healthcare training and experience. His second book FUNDS is now available.
