I’m a bioarchaeologist by training, but my research interests consistently drift into applied geochemistry. My overarching objective is the deployment of isotopic methods to address questions about the relationship between humans and the rest of the biosphere.

I’m currently working on reconstructing human-game interactions on Banks Island, NWT, Canada, during the last 4500 years using bulk and compound specific stable isotope analysis. When completed, this project will clarify past resource utilization and human occupation in the Canadian arctic, while producing data that can be used to inform future wildlife management policy in the Northwest Territories.
