Jameshia Bartee

Hey Everyone! My name is Jameshia Nicole Bartee. I was born in Valdosta, GA but raised in a small city called Quitman, GA. Yes, I am a small town girl looking to make a difference in this big world. Currently, I am a Certified Phlebotomist Technician (CPT,ASPT) at South Georgia Medical Center. Helping others is something I enjoy doing.

I am currently a sophmore at Valdosta State University. I came as a transfer student to earn my Biology Degree specializing in Pre-Medicine. Soon, I would be able to be the first one of four siblings to obtain a college degree. One day I hope to become an Anesthesiologist Assistant. This will help me achieve my dream of looking inside the human body and being apart of the OR (Operating Room) Team.Yes, I may seem to be a little weird but I came to love this profession by watching Grey's Anatomy and House, M.D. on the televison.

I am intrigued by many things such as books, social media, science, health care, technology and religious activities. I look to make a difference in someone’s life. I love to prioritize others than myself. I am a guru for fighting against cancer. So, I often volunteer at the many American Cancer Society events such as Relay for Life. Family is very important to me as well as gaining a great education.

“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you going to get.” –Forrest Gump is one of my favorite quotes. I like this quote because I don't know where life is taking me but I am going to enjoy the ride while I can. I am sure we all are enjoying the ride. I also have a favorite scripture from the Bible which is Psalms 27:1-3. It describes me fully because I strive to have confidence and to always be confident no matter what.

Staying humble and true is my personality. I am always mentoring young kids from my alma mater to help them gain good grades, earn scholarships, and go off to college. I love my life which is very busy. I believe that to be successful means to use every minute and second of a day.
