Hey fellow foodies!
I’m a first year student in Canada currently living 3 hours away from my lovely family to pursue my education in both legal studies and economics. I’m of Vietnamese decent with parents who never failed to give me a spank on the bum whenever I didn’t finish the food on my plate, making me a HUGE lover of food.
I started this blog for a few reasons. The first, being that my mom has a reputation amongst the Vietnamese community in my hometown for being the best cook of Vietnamese food. This means that I owe it to her to carry on her legacy and master all of her recipes! What better way to do that than toughing it out on my own in my college dorm. The second, is that I want to show students and parents of students alike that it IS possible to go away for school and not eat Chinese takeout and Kraft Dinner every day.
Being the product of immigrants has lead me to appreciate not only the food and culture my parents brought to this beautiful country, but also what every culture has to offer! This ranges from perfecting poutine gravy to taking a shot at butter chicken. With this being said, I would absolutely love to hear your feedback on my recipes!
