Jodhpur National University
Well said by the great philosopher that if someone wants to succeed in life and wants to know the way to it, no other place could be better than a library. This is an extremely essential part of any educational institution. As per today’s economy it may not be affordable for all the students to actually buy all the books they require during their education. Having a library in the college makes it very easy for students to enrol themselves in library and get books from there as per their requirement.
Even there are public and private library where one get registered and get the books as per their choice. These days different types of library can be found like, Academic libraries which are mainly found on the campuses of college and universities. You can find the same in Jodhpur National University where the library is stocked with books based on the courses the university offers not only this you can also find leading journals both international and national, newspapers, current magazines etc.
Another type of library is Children’s library where one can find special collection of books for juvenile readers. Then comes the National library, this library rarely allows a citizen to borrow a book as their collection often includes numerous rare, valuable or significant works. There are also the Special libraries which are maintained by private businesses and public organisation which allows their employees to use it for doing specialized research related to their work.
Coming back to the Academic library, it has been seen in past few years that the count of students making use of college or university library has reduced a lot due to the easy access of information on internet. However research has shown that students tend to only fetch 0.03% of the web, where chances are high that they may not get in depth information which they can get through books at a physical library.
Keeping this in mind Jodhpur National University has made sure that they have good collection of books for their students & the count of books goes up to 90,000. No matter how advance the technology gets and reading gets confined to small tablets, real books will always remain the most powerful source of knowledge.
