Hello, I’m Jo. I’m a teacher living in Sacramento, California. I am a fan of movies, reading, and DIY. I’m also interested in education and volleyball.

I tutor Math through Calculus, Physics and Chemistry. I have the ability to take something complex and use analogies to explain it in terms that students can understand. I also do not like short cuts, so my explanations are conceptually correct :-).

I brought the Physics program at St. Francis High School from 2 sections of regular Physics to 2 sections of Honors Physics AND 4 sections of regular physics; there is also a summer Physics course.

My favorite movies are action movies and my favorite books are fantasy and romance novels, though I do like a good dectective/action series also. I have been reading the series of books that "Bones" is based on.

Even though I am 5'0", I played volleyball throughout school and was a volleyball coach also. Of course, I played setter. When I played softball, I was the catcher. I earned all league honors in both sports in high school.

I love to build things, work in my yard at home, and fix problems. I'm always proud of myself when someone else wants to call a professional, and I fix the problem myself.
