JOAN TARRAGÓ

I am a creative worker becoming my dream everyday.
Born in 1981 in Barcelona. Graduated in Fine Arts specialized in painting and printing by Facultat Sant Jordi of Universitat de Barcelona in 2005. Studied painting in Athens School for a semester. Guest Student in the fashion department at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, 2006. At the same year I became finalist at ITS#5 (International Talent Support) in Trieste, Italy, where i was invited doing a intership at John Galliano Creative Studio in Paris.
In 2007 Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungindustrie awarded my co-project "Drawellink Places" with the First prize of Fashion Branding and Second prize of Best Collection. ISPO'07 Munich, Germany.
Then I moved to Paris and I became the assistant of the Print Designer at John Galliano. In Summer 2007 I got hired to design the Special Guest Collection, Quiksilver Europe, Biarritz, France. One year later, While ending this collaboration, got the Best Collection prize of Apolda European Design Award, Weimar, Germany.
After Athens, Berlin, Paris and Biarritz i came back to my mother town Barcelona, where I created my own studio. Since then I have been collaborating with Quiksilver, Converse, Ambiguous Clothing, Nike, Buff, Rayban and a bunch of non corporate organizations doing what i love the most... Spreading useful creativity, working hard and being nice to people.
